9–11 am AEDT November 21st 2026The Art of Self Abhyanga
An online workshop in Ayurvedic self-massage
An invitation to slow down, nourish your body and learn a ritual you can return to again and again.
What if caring for yourself became less about adding another thing to your to-do list, and more about returning to a simple ritual of nourishment?
Rooted in the wisdom of Ayurveda, Abhyanga is the traditional practice of massaging the body with oil. Through warm oil, intentional touch and specific techniques, it offers an opportunity to pause, reconnect with your body and bring a little more care into the rhythm of everyday life.
I'm inviting you to join me for a two-hour online workshop where we'll explore the foundations of Abhyanga and learn a practical self-massage sequence you can return to again and again.
Together, we'll create space to slow down, learn through experience and explore how this nourishing ritual might become part of your own daily life.
Why practice Abhyanga?
In Ayurveda, Abhyanga has long been valued as a practice of daily self-care. The use of oil and intentional touch is traditionally associated with nourishment, grounding and caring for the body.
Beyond learning a sequence of techniques and movements, this practice invites you to develop a different relationship with your own body ~ one that makes space for attention, tenderness and care.
Through regular practice, self-Abhyanga can offer an opportunity to:
Cultivate moments of rest and relaxation
Create a pause in your day to slow down, soften and step away from the constant demands of doing.
Reconnect with your body through touch
Become more familiar with your body's sensations, needs and boundaries through gentle, intentional contact.
Create a nourishing daily ritual
Discover a simple practice you can adapt to your lifestyle, whether you have a few minutes or time for a more complete self-massage.
Bring Ayurvedic wisdom into everyday life
Explore a traditional practice in an accessible, practical way, without needing prior knowledge of Ayurveda.
Offer yourself the care you so often give to others
Make space to receive your own touch and remember that tending to yourself is a meaningful part of how you care for your life.
What we'll explore together
This is a practical, experiential workshop. You'll be guided through the foundations of Abhyanga before having time to experience the practice for yourself.
We'll explore:
The meaning and foundations of Abhyanga within Ayurveda.
Choosing an appropriate oil and preparing for your practice.
How to work with gentle pressure, rhythm and intentional touch.
A guided self-massage sequence for the head, face, neck, arms, hands, abdomen, legs and feet, with adaptations as needed.
How to approach the practice in a way that feels comfortable and accessible for your body.
Simple ways to weave self-Abhyanga into your daily rituals.
You'll have the opportunity to learn by doing, with guidance throughout the practice and space to move at your own pace.

I'm passionate about sharing simple, embodied practices that invite us to slow down, reconnect with ourselves and cultivate nourishment in everyday life.
Abhyanga has been apart of my life for 7 years and it started off with me learning from a friend as a self practice. After a few years I felt so passionate about its effects I become a practitioner so I could of share this as bodywork professionally.
This is a practice I return to again and again to receive support for my nervous system, digestion, skin, vitality and oversall sense of wellbeing.
I look forward to sharing this practice with you.
Come as you are and leave with a ritual you can make your own.
